The AMCS Group is the first company in the waste and recycling industry to be awarded the Microsoft Azure IP Co-Sell Ready status. With this partnership waste and recycling companies are guaranteed the advantage of the cloud for improving their operational efficiency, business agility, scalability and security of their systems.

Industry-specific software married with best-in-class solutions

Leveraged on Microsoft Azure, AMCS Platform empowers waste and recycling companies with an intelligent platform that drives automation and delivers end-to-end standardisation, complete transparency and optimisation of waste and recycling processes.

It empowers waste and recycling companies with an intelligent platform. AMCS Platform predicts and actions, whilst supporting the ongoing transformation of the industry to a circular economy. The approval validates AMCS' commitment to providing the leading waste management enterprise-grade SaaS solution. This is an ultra-modern, scalable platform. It marries industry-specific software with best-in-class optimisation capabilities, e-commerce ingenuity and on-vehicle technologies to customers around the world.

AMCS expects its partnership with Microsoft to further accelerate the migration of customers to the cloud.

“This partnership will ensure that AMCS customers always have the advantage of the latest technology innovations on Microsoft cloud while integrating with Microsoft technologies.", explains Wim Hoek, Marketing Manager Western Europe at AMCS. "To get the IP Co-Seller status we have worked intensively with Microsoft, resulting in the best Cloud experience for our customers.”

Greater scalability and costs reduction

With more than 95% of Fortune 500 companies using Microsoft Azure, the AMCS Platform fits seamlessly within those organisations. The Azure cloud provides more security than traditional on-premise solutions while allowing companies to be more agile and compliant with regulations.

By operating on the Azure cloud, AMCS Platform provides significant cost savings by eliminating the capital expense of purchasing hardware and software, running on-site data centres, using electricity 24 hours a day for power and cooling, and the need for IT experts to manage the infrastructure.

A recent survey conducted by Microsoft shows that a cloud-based infrastructure decreases operational costs by 20 to 30 per cent. It is also substantially cutting down the ERP implementation time and costs. A cloud-based solution provides more business agility by enabling a faster response to, and adoption of, new innovations.

This is enabling customers to run their business with greater reliability and assurances on top of the latest cloud technology.

Working together on sustainability

With the increasing importance of cloud-based infrastructure in the waste and recycling industry, the two companies are striving to further strengthen and expand their collaboration.

“The architectural review by Microsoft was a pivotal step in formalising the partnership. We needed to show that the AMCS Platform is a true SaaS solution that gives customers the full benefits of the cloud. We have passed that review with flying colours," Hoek emphasised.

“We not only believe that Azure provides our customers with the best possible Cloud-platform, but it will also help them to achieve their sustainability objectives too. It is a given that traditional data centres consume a lot of energy and contribute to the release of more CO2 into the atmosphere. The Microsoft Cloud is 79% to 93% more energy-efficient than a traditional on-premise data centre and thus makes computing much more energy-efficient and sustainable. This is in line with AMCS's strategy to help the waste and recycling industry to operate CO2 neutral. Sustainability is close to both AMCS’s and Microsoft’s heart and is just one of the many reasons why the two companies are a perfect match."
